Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada is seeking a nurse to join the team and help deliver health, beauty and convenience services in the community. The role focuses on taking blood samples and assessing vaccination and health status to offer indicated vaccines including influenza, COVID, pneumococcus, and travel-related vaccines.

You will provide care for hypertension, diabetes and anticoagulant therapy, and instruct patients on devices like glucometers and blood pressure monitors.

Qualifications

• Must be a member of Ordre des infirmiers et infirmières du Québec.
• Hold a DCS or bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Familiar with PIQ (Québec immunization protocol) and travel health.

Responsibilities

• Assess health status and provide vaccines such as influenza and herpes zoster.
• Identify and offer vaccines based on travel destination.
• Provide services related to hypertension, diabetes, hypercholesterolemia and anticoagulant therapy.
