Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. in British Columbia seeks a registered nurse to join the community-focused team.

You will take blood samples, assess vaccination status and provide vaccines such as influenza, COVID-19 and travel vaccines, collaborating with the pharmacy to expand nursing services. You will welcome patients in a professional manner and contribute to services for hypertension, diabetes and anticoagulant therapy, while educating on devices like glucometers and blood pressure monitors.

Formación

• Be a member of the Ordre des infirmiers et infirmières du Québec.
• Hold a DCS or bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Be familiar with the PIQ and travel health.

What You’ll Do

• Assess health status and provide appropriate vaccines such as influenza and herpes zoster
• Identify and offer appropriate vaccines based on the travel destination
• Offer various services related to hypertension, diabetes, hypercholesterolemia and anticoagulant therapy
• Provide instruction on the use of different devices such as glucometers, blood pressure monitors etc.
• Welcome patients in a professional and caring manner
• Work with the pharmacy team to develop the nursing service offering

Requirements

• Be a member of the Ordre des infirmiers et infirmières du Québec
• Hold a DCS or bachelor’s degree in nursing
• Be familiar with the PIQ (Protocole d’immunisation du Québec — Québec immunization protocol) and travel health
