Job summary

Shared Health is seeking a Nurse Educator (N4) for the Child Health Program OR at Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. The role focuses on clinical education, program development and adult learning strategies within a pediatric operating room setting.

Required are OR experience, RN licensure, and teaching/leadership skills; preferred are pediatric/neonatal critical care courses and instructor certifications. Role is in-person with 7.75 daily hours and 1.0 FTE, starting 10/19/2026.

Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient- centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Pensionable Salary Enhancement - Nurses in eligible classifications may be eligible to earn an additional $5.95/hour when working full-time hours within a prescribed six-month reporting period.(Effective April 1, 2025 - March 31st 2027.)

Experience

• Must have a minimum of four years recent (within the last 2 years) Clinical Operating Room experience required.
• Operating Room experience in an acute pediatric setting preferred.
• Previous experience in teaching, education and program development and evaluation is preferred.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

• Master's degree in Nursing is preferred (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered).
• Completion of a recognized Perioperatie Nursing Course required.
• Successful Completion of a recognized Pediatric/Neonatal Critical Care Nursing course is preferred.
• Note: In certain circumstances, certification as an instructor in a specialty training course (e.g. ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) may be stated as a requirement.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

• Must be registered or eligible for registration with the College of Nurses of Manitoba (C.R.N.M.).
• Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.
• Current CPR (Targeted Responder) certification required.

BLS/PALS/NRP Trainer Certification Preferred.
