A leading care organization in Ontario is seeking a Deputy Manager (RN) to support the Service Manager in running a nursing home. The successful candidate will have current NMC registration and experience managing nursing teams. This role promotes independence for disabled individuals and offers opportunities for career development in a rewarding environment.
Full time, 35 hours per week.
A night enhancement of £1.50 per hour will apply from 8pm to 7am Monday – Sunday (this does not apply to sleep-ins). A weekend day enhancement of £2.00 per hour will be paid from 7am to 8pm, Saturday and Sunday.

About the role
As a Deputy Manager (RN) with Leonard Cheshire, you will fully support the Service Manager in the running of the nursing home and deputise in their absence. Providing effective management and supervision of a great team (including nurses and care staff), you will lead with passion and enthusiasm to ensure the service is well run. You will promote positive outcomes for disabled people with a flexible and proactive approach.
Responsible for monitoring and providing the highest standards of nursing, clinical and personal support to our customers, you will promote independence and choice. You will ensure the service is fully compliant regarding health and safety management, fulfilling statutory obligations and excellent overall service delivery.

* We are currently under consultation proposing a change to the enhancement rates paid. If the proposal is accepted, from 1 December 2025 new enhancement rates of £1.00 per hour will only apply to night working (8pm Monday to 7am Friday) and weekend working (8pm Friday – 7am Monday). This does not apply to Sleep-ins.
