The Cardiac Sciences department is currently recruiting a Nurse Clinician (NC) for the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Clinic (HCM) at South Health Campus. The NC is responsible for the case management of patients diagnosed or needing HCM services, including medications and non-invasive testing. The NC provides support to patients and families and serves as a resource for caregivers. This role is dynamic and may expand to support the Atrial Fibrillation Clinic. The NC collaborates with team members at South Health Campus and the Foothills Medical Centre Electrophysiology Department. The Nurse Clinician acts as a role model, promoting a positive work environment, and assists in developing policies, quality improvement programs, departmental procedures, and best practices.
As a Nurse Clinician, you will coordinate an interprofessional team to deliver quality patient care, meet operational priorities, and ensure safety and family-centeredness. You will use an integrative leadership approach for planning, implementing, and evaluating care, managing staff assignments, patient flow, and resources.
