Job Description:

Under the direction of the unit Manager, the Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for ensuring all work is in alignment with the organization's missions, goals, values, and strategic plans to promote high quality, safe client care. This includes establishing and maintaining best practices; assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating unit orientation, in-servicing, and other educational programming; assessing learning needs; acting as a clinical resource; promoting client and family-centered care; participating in committee work; engaging in continuous improvement activities; and developing and maintaining client and staff resources. The CNE will work as part of the interprofessional clinical team to promote effective delivery of client care. The Clinical Nurse Educator is a self-directed practitioner with strong communication skills, collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to promote quality, client- and family-centered care, and cultural competence. The role encompasses being an educator, clinical leader, change agent, facilitator, and consultant.
