Job summary

Kibbi is seeking a dedicated care assistant to provide compassionate patient care at the Kelowna location. The role includes assisting with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and transporting patients within the facility.

On-site position with duties spanning personal care, meal support, and basic clinical tasks. First Aid certification is required or pursued. Training and benefits available.

Qualifications

• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a care setting.
• Education includes a college/CEGEP diploma or certificate, or equivalent experience.
• First Aid Certificate or equivalent first-aid training.

Responsibilities

• Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities.
• Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, setting up and assembling medical equipment.
• Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort.
• Perform other duties related to personal care.
• Take patients' blood pressure, temperature and pulse.
• Serve meal trays and feed patients.
• Weigh, lift, turn and position patients.
• Make beds and maintain patients' rooms.
• Supervise patients' exercise routines.
• Maintain inventory of supplies.
• Bathe, dress and groom patients.
• Transport patients between care facilities ( wheelchair or stretcher ).
• Answer call signals to determine patients' needs.
• Administer first aid in emergency situations.
