Job summary

Winnipeg Regional Health Authority, at Victoria General Hospital, seeks an experienced anesthesia/PAC registered nurse for a full-time, in-person role. Requires CRNM registration, BCLS, and a Baccalaureate in Nursing; Master's preferred. Start date anticipated Nov 2, 2026.

FTE 1.00; daily hours 7.75; annual base hours 2015. Minimum 4 years’ related clinical experience in anesthesia or ICU nursing is required; 3 years surgery experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing is required.
  • Master's degree in Nursing is preferred.
  • Current CRNM registration required.
  • Current BCLS required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia nursing or ICU nursing support.
  • Establish IVs and invasive monitoring.
  • Teach patients and families.

Experience
  • Minimum 4 years’ recent related clinical experience in Anesthesia Nursing or ICU Nursing required.
  • Minimum 3 years recent related surgery experience preferred.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing required.
  • Master’s degree in Nursing is preferred.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
  • Current CRNM registration required.
  • Current BCLS required.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Demonstrated ability to establish IVs required. Setting up and interpreting invasive monitoring required.
  • Demonstrated patient/ family teaching ability required.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively with other health disciplines is required.
  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • The ability to complete the job on a regular and consistent basis is required.
