Position Overview

The Team Leader is a member of the Primary Health Care Team committed to service excellence. Reporting to the Health Links-Info Santé Manager, the role involves direct interaction with contact centre nurses, leading by example, and proactively solving problems.

Experience and Education
  • Minimum 3 years recent experience in contact centre telephone triage; equivalent skills may be considered.
  • Clinical experience in Emergency Department or Community Health is an asset.
  • Experience with multiple software applications preferred.
  • Experience in education & coaching is an asset.
  • Baccalaureate of Nursing preferred; experience and other advanced education may be considered.
  • CPR training in accordance with employer policy.
Certifications and Skills
  • Current registration with CRNM required.
  • Active participation in professional associations preferred.
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Fluency in English preferred; French and other languages are assets.
  • Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team, demonstrating collaboration and communication skills.
  • Understanding of contact centre operations.
  • Confident, positive attitude, adaptable, reliable, with coaching skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to handle high-stress, fast-paced environment with a large volume of calls and administrative responsibilities.

This term position may end earlier as per the collective agreement. A current satisfactory Criminal Records Check, Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check are required. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. Checks are valid if obtained within six months prior to employment start.

Employees cannot hold multiple positions across the WRHA legal entity that total more than 1.0 EFT. The WRHA includes various hospitals and programs listed.
