Job summary

Hope's Home in Saskatoon is seeking a Nurse for our Early Learning Center. You will provide hands-on medical care for children with complex needs and advocate for their health and wellbeing. You will collaborate with staff and families to support each child’s potential while promoting diversity and inclusive practices.

Nurses report to the Manager of the Early Learning Centre. The role includes a Monday–Friday schedule with 8-hour shifts between 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• Practicing license in good standing with SALPN/CRNS/RPNA.
• Minimum 2 years pediatric experience preferred.
• Up to date First Aid, CPR Level BLS.
• TLR training an asset.
• Ventilator experience an asset.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Nursing Care: provide medical care within license scope per SALPN/CRNS/RPNA competencies.
• Leadership: access to management training and voice ideas; fair rest for healthcare professionals.
• Education: staff nurses act as educators and develop engaging, educational activities.

Job Summary:

The Nurse in our Early Learning Center provides hands on medical care and a holistic and inclusive approach to each child's health and wellbeing. As the primary caregiver of children with complex medical needs, our nurses work collaboratively with staff and parents/guardians to provide and advocate for the needs of each child to ensure each child reaches their full potential. Hope's Home nurses also play an important role in developing all our children's knowledge and experience with diversity and inclusivity through engaging conversations and experience. Nurses in the Early Learning and Childcare centres report to the Manager of the Early Learning Centre.

Responsibilities:

• Nursing Care: Provide medical care within the scope of practice per valid license, as outlined in SALPN, SRNA or RPNA competencies and that also reflect Hope's Homes goals and values.
• Leadership: You will have the opportunity to access management training, be encouraged to speak up with your ideas, and receive the rest you deserve as a healthcare professional.
• Education is a main philosophy at Hope's Home and therefore all staff, especially our nurses, have an opportunity to be an educator within our organization. We encourage you to come up with fun and engaging activities that also act as educational tools.
