Position Overview

Under the general supervision of the Manager, Health Services, the Registered Nurse provides professional nursing services for patients with complex and unpredictable health needs. This includes independent nursing services, administering prescribed treatments, leading within the healthcare team, and coordinating patient care and discharge. The nurse demonstrates a commitment to the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority and Concordia Hospital's vision, values, goals, and objectives.

Minimum Requirements
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in a related program area.
  • Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program.
  • Proof of registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
  • Current BCLS certification, preferably in ICU, ER, and CP.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards, codes, legislation, and policies.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and respond to multiple demands.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with computers and software applications.
  • Physical ability to perform moderate to heavy effort.
