Job description

Why this role is important?

Nurse

We are looking for a nurse to:

  • Take blood samples.
  • Assess vaccination and health status to offer indicated vaccines such as influenza, COVID, pneumococcus, herpes zoster, or based on the travel destination.
  • Offer services related to hypertension, diabetes, or anticoagulant therapy.
  • Provide instruction on using blood glucose and blood pressure devices.
  • Welcome patients professionally and compassionately, working with the pharmacy team to develop the service offering.
What you’ll do:
  • Assess health status and administer vaccines like influenza and herpes zoster.
  • Identify and recommend vaccines based on travel destinations.
  • Provide services related to hypertension, diabetes, hypercholesterolemia, and anticoagulant therapy.
  • Instruct patients on using devices such as glucometers and blood pressure monitors.
  • Welcome patients professionally and compassionately.
  • Collaborate with the pharmacy team to develop nursing services.
Requirements:
  • Be a member of the Ordre des infirmiers et infirmières du Québec.
  • Hold a DCS or bachelor’s degree in nursing.
  • Be familiar with the PIQ (Protocole d’immunisation du Québec) and travel health protocols.
