Job summary

SEGULA Technologies Canada, part of a global engineering group, is seeking a skilled welder in Ontario to join our heavy manufacturing teams.

You will read drawings, plan RT/UT welding, perform welding and repairs to RT/UT standards, and collaborate with shop personnel.

A welding test is required (6G pipe, GTAW root, SMAW fill), with Day, Afternoon or Weekend shifts available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of manual welding experience in heavy manufacturing.
• Ability to weld and repair to RT/UT quality standards using multiple processes.
• Intermediate blueprint-reading skills.
• Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights, and in awkward positions.
• Must be able to pass respirator fit-testing, if required.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality requirements.

Welding Test

Candidates must successfully complete a welding test consisting of:

• 6G position test: 2 ¾" OD carbon steel pipe, 0.625" wall thickness.
• GTAW root pass in the 6G position - visual inspection.
• SMAW fill and cap in the 6G position - visual and RT inspection.

Must be available to work one of the following shifts

• Day Shift: 6:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday-Thursday
• Afternoon Shift: 4:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m., Monday-Thursday
• Weekend Day Shift: 6:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Friday-Sunday (paid for 40 hours)
• Weekend Afternoon Shift: 5:00 p.m. - 4:00 a.m.
