Job summary

BWXT Canada Ltd. in Cambridge, Ontario, is seeking a Project Engineer to lead technical efforts on large projects, guiding the design of nuclear components such as steam generators, heat exchangers, and pressure vessels.

You will collaborate with Project Managers, technical teams, supply management, and customers to ensure code compliance, feasibility studies, and timely delivery within budget. The role reports to the Director of Component Engineering.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering or equivalent required.
• Experience with heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and nuclear equipment.
• Knowledge of ASME Section III & VIII and CSA N285/N299 a plus.
• Familiarity with welding procedures and fabrication practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of complex nuclear components and ensure compliance with codes and contract requirements.
• Provide guidance to engineering staff and interface with customers, vendors, and regulators.
• Review drawings, calculations, and vendor quotes; support feasibility studies and R&D.
• Prepare technical specifications for sublet work and manage schedule/budget.
