Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist

MPA has been retained by a leading private Cardiology and Diagnostic Services organization to recruit a Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join their multidisciplinary teams. The client is Ontario’s leading imaging group, offering a range of radiology and cardiology imaging modalities.

Reporting to the clinic leader, the successful candidate will perform Nuclear Medicine procedures on Bone, Brain, Thyroid, Liver, Spleen, Hepatobiliary, Renal, and Lung scans. The position is open to full-time, part-time, or casual hours for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct patient identification, safety, and preparation procedures before starting nuclear medicine examinations.
• Notify supervisor of unusual or abnormal cases.
• Set up and adjust nuclear medicine equipment according to established protocols.
• Monitor supplies and report shortages.
• Perform all required quality control assessments.
• Conduct Rest and Stress myocardial imaging.
• Perform bone, brain, thyroid, liver, spleen, hepatobiliary, renal scans, and lung scans.
• Administer I131 thyroid treatments and conduct Bone Densitometry scans.
• Perform Gallium scans, RBC liver / spleen scans, Venograms, Dacrocystograms, and testicular scans.
• Conduct Rest and Stress MUGA scans.
• Maintain cleanliness and disinfection of equipment and change rooms.
• Hold current and valid Certificate of Registration with the relevant provincial association.
• Possess knowledge and proficiency in general nuclear medicine procedures.
• Maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Attend staff meetings to stay current and maintain competence.
