ATS Industrial Automation is seeking a Nuclear Services Programmer to develop, test, and implement advanced automation systems for nuclear tooling at customer sites. Occasional travel to sites supports project phases and requires hands-on controls software responsibility.

Requires post-secondary engineering with strong programming, mechanical and electrical skills. You will collaborate with the Nuclear Engineering team and work at Cambridge and customer sites, including shift rotations and

Qualifications

• Post-secondary engineering degree or diploma in mechanical, electrical, systems or computer engineering.
• Strong programming, mechanical and electrical problem-solving skills.
• Experience with SCADA and Siemens S7 PLC control systems is desirable.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team with minimal supervision.
• Some experience in maintenance of CANDU reactors and nuclear service tooling knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and implement system solutions meeting customer process requirements.
• Lead controls software, with input for hardware and mechanical design.
• Perform shift work at customer sites to support tooling at project phases.
• Coordinate design progress at Cambridge site before/between deployments.
