An exciting vacancy has arisen within the Sexual Health team for a full-time (20 hours/5 sessions) Specialty Doctor, based at Aberdeen Health Village.
We are looking for an enthusiastic doctor who has a keen interest in Sexual and Reproductive health, with a minimum of 4 years post-registration experience and with a licence to practice. Key attributes include the ability to manage patients independently in an out-patient setting and some experience in formal and informal teaching. The applicant should have experience of clinical audit. They should have good interpersonal skills with both other staff and patients. A willingness to work in evening clinics is required.
Desirable attributes include experience of working in sexual health either in general practice, hospital, or a community service. Ideal qualifications include DFSRH/DIP GUM or equivalent or willingness to undertake these. In addition, letters of competence in subdermal, intrauterine techniques and PGA in medical education or equivalent are desirable or a willingness to train. Experience in abortion care is desirable.
Flexibility to cover leave etc. would be an advantage.
