Descriptif mission

The Industrialization Lead (NPI Engineer) will have the responsibility for New Product Introduction products. This candidate will work collaboratively with multiple functions such as Manufacturing Team, Program Team, Engineering team, Supply chain team in a team environment.

Responsibilities
  1. During the pre-sale and development preparation phases, lead and participate in responding to RFP requirements from potential customers regarding industrialization and the elaboration of recurring and non-recurring quotes.
  2. Verify and maintain the current cost model, considering product and equipment evolution.
  3. Suggest an industrial scheme (Make or Buy) strategy, incorporating all industrial constraints (manufacturability, processes, means), and ensure that the Return of Experience (RETEX) is considered.
  4. Contribute to the development of the product development logic (LDEV).
  5. During development/NPI phases, plan, implement, and coordinate NPI activities including prototype build, qualification, product design, specifications, process validations, training needs, and test strategy, aligned with project milestones and industrialization tollgates.
  6. Act as interface between Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure Design for Manufacturing and early correction of manufacturability and procurement issues.
  7. Review design and engineering specifications, raising manufacturing concerns.
  8. Provide technical input for test equipment development and test coverage strategy.
  9. Present and report project status, progress, and KPIs, managing risks associated with industrialization projects.
  10. Calculate and monitor recurring and non-recurring costs, applying structured problem solving, lean principles, and best practices to drive improvements.
  11. Collaborate with SMEs to enhance manufacturing capabilities and ensure process improvements.
  12. Lead efforts to achieve product maturity, manufacturability, and process maturity, including PFMEA and process capability determinations.
  13. Develop and implement training plans, work instructions, BOMs, and critical processes prior to production transition.
Requirements

- Post-secondary degree in Industrial, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

- Minimum 5 years of progressive project leadership experience in manufacturing, preferably in electronics or aerospace.

- Experience in NPI, process validation, PFMEA, Design for Manufacturing, APQP, PPAP, and project management.
