Rocket Doctor is a digital health marketplace transforming the way comprehensive care is delivered bringing the most advanced doctor’s office into homes across North America. We are a passionate group of medical doctors, technical experts, and patient care professionals who believe every person deserves access to high quality healthcare.

We are seeking a team member who is motivated to learn, grow, and innovate while making a meaningful impact. Rocket Doctor is one of the fastest growing digital health companies in Canada, with over 300 physicians nationwide and a rapidly expanding presence.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

The Provincial Medical Lead (Nova Scotia) plays a key leadership role within the Atlantic Canada MD Leadership Team, working alongside the existing Leads to strengthen, expand, and optimize Rocket Doctor’s presence in the province.

This role focuses heavily on growing the Nova Scotia provider community, establishing clinical operations within the province, and supporting physicians as they enter practice on the platform. The Provincial Medical Lead will support recruitment efforts, build physician engagement, help shape provincial workflows, and ensure a high-quality experience for both patients and providers in Nova Scotia.

In addition to Nova Scotia-focused leadership, the Provincial Medical Lead participates in broader MD Lead initiatives to support cross-provincial alignment and company-wide growth

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (NOVA SCOTIA-FOCUSED)
Grow and Strengthen Nova Scotia’s Physician Presence
  • Rocket Doctor is growing in Nova Scotia, and we're looking for a physician to lead it. As a Provincial Medical Lead, you will help build the province's physician community on our platform: recruiting and onboarding NS physicians, shaping clinical workflows that fit how medicine works in Nova Scotia, and making sure both patients and providers have a high-quality experience.
  • Nova Scotia’s primary care gap is well known, and thousands of residents are waiting for a regular provider. Virtual care is part of how the province closes that gap, and this role puts you in a position to shape it. You will be the clinical voice for Nova Scotia inside a national platform, with direct input into product, workflows, and how care gets delivered in the province.
  • Help build a strong provincial physician community and encourage ongoing clinical engagement.
Support Provincial Operations & Quality
  • Investigate and respond to patient, provider, or PCC-raised concerns related to Nova Scotia care.
  • Review and refine clinical workflows specific to Nova Scotia to improve efficiency, compliance, and physician ease of practice.
  • Maintain close communication with practicing Nova Scotia physicians, including active presence on Slack and participation in local meetings.
Strategic Specialty Leadership
  • Serve as a clinical leader supporting the growth of Nova Scotia’s virtual care presence.
  • Liaise with Nova Scotia health authorities, organizations, and partners as appropriate.
  • Provide input on Nova Scotia-specific product needs, regulatory considerations, and physician experience improvements.
MD LEAD RESPONSIBILITIES (CROSS-PROVINCIAL)

While the role is Nova Scotia-focused, the Provincial Medical Lead also participates in the MD Leads team:

  • Attend and contribute to MD Roundtable meetings.
  • Support initial onboarding of new physicians across provinces as needed.
  • Partner with the product and operations teams on improvement initiatives.
  • Provide troubleshooting support on emerging physician issues across all provinces.
  • Assist with communications and strategic updates for physicians and Rocket Doctor staff.
  • Help coordinate physician meetings and engagement events across Canada.
EXPECTATIONS:
  • Serve as a positive, solutions-focused representative of Rocket Doctor’s Nova Scotia medical leadership.
  • Maintain professionalism as outlined by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Nova Scotia medical landscape and virtual care environment.
  • Maintain clear records of recommendations and decisions.
  • Knowledge of Rocket Doctor’s EMR, platform extensions, and applicable privacy regulations in Canada and the United States (HIPAA, PHIPA, PIPEDA) is considered an asset.
  • Handle all confidential company and patient information with discretion.
COMPENSATION:
  • The position is estimated to be an average of 4 hours per week (negotiable) paid at $150 / hour. The dollar value of work will be paid via equity in the publicly traded parent company, which can be awarded to you personally or your corp, and deposited and traded within your investment / trading account.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Licensed to practise medicine in Nova Scotia;
  • Strong familiarity with the Nova Scotia healthcare system, workflows, and physician community.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving digital health environment.
  • Experience in medical leadership, administration, or business is an asset.
WORK / TRAVEL:
  • Fully remote within Canada.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
