As part of our Head Office Sales team, the Nova Scotia Electrical Project Quotations Specialist will be responsible for preparing and managing competitive bids and project quotations for Eddy Group Limited electrical products and solutions. This role involves collaborating with suppliers, customers, and branch teams in Nova Scotia to ensure accurate and timely pricing for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. Maintaining a regular communication with the Corporate Sales and Electrical Division Managers is key to ensure alignment with company sales goals.

What you’ll do:

  • Prepare and submit quotations for large-scale electrical projects in Nova Scotia.
  • Analyze bid specifications and work with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
  • Ensure accuracy in pricing, product specifications, and contract terms.
  • Maintain strong relationships with manufacturers and agents to negotiate the best pricing.
  • Work closely with contractors, engineers, and project managers to understand project requirements.
  • Track ongoing bids and follow up with customers on the status of submitted quotations.
  • Support the branch sales team by providing technical insights and competitive pricing strategies.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (purchasing, sales, etc.) to ensure smooth execution of awarded projects.
  • Stay updated on electrical industry trends, product innovations, and competitive market pricing.
  • Recommend alternative products or solutions based on availability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain an organized record of all quotations, bid results, and project follow-ups.
  • Provide reports on success rates, margin analysis, and market trends.
  • Regular communication with division and corporate sales teams to ensure consistency in selecting suppliers and/or agents.
  • Manage your own schedule and time.

Qualifications and key competencies:

  • 5+ years in electrical product quotations, estimating, or project coordination.
  • Post secondary education in an electrical field is an asset.
  • Experience dealing with contractors, engineers, and project managers in the construction or industrial sector.
  • Experience in electrical wholesale distribution, preferably in a quotations or project sales role.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical products.
  • Familiarity with renewables and associated product lines will be considered an asset.
  • Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and tender documents.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills.

This is a full-time position that may be located anywhere in Nova Scotia with preference for individuals located near Eddy Group Ltd locations. Regular business hours are from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, however, occasional work outside these hours should be expected.

Annual base salary will be commensurate with your experience.
