Sheridan Nurseries Norval Farm is actively searching for :

General Labour

Seasonal, Full Time

Position Summary :

These full time seasonal positions are at our Norval farm near Georgetown, Ontario,and provide a great opportunity to learn about plants by working with them first-hand! These positions involve repetitive work which may include pruning, potting, watering, and plant maintenance. Must be able to work in a fast paced and physically demanding environment often outside in inclement weather conditions. Will require evening and weekend work, depending on seasonal weather patterns.

Your Accountabilities :

• Communicate effectively for job requirements and safety
• Meet daily targets for quality and productivity
• Planting and Potting; Crop Maintenance – Clipping, Pruning, Staking, Harvesting
• Promote a safe and healthy working environment
• Able to join other work crews as priorities require at the direction of Management

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

• Work well with others in a team environment
• Must be in good physical condition and enjoy work in outdoor conditions
• Requires your own transportation arrangements to the Nursery
• No education and no experience required
• This job requires extended periods of walking and standing, as well as the ability to lift up to 50lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions and environments.
