A community health organization in Vancouver is seeking a Concierge to ensure the safety and professionalism of patients and visitors. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills and may be bilingual in English and Spanish. Responsibilities include patrolling the facility, assisting patients, and maintaining a calm environment. Previous security experience is preferred. This position starts at 5:30 am and requires a valid driver's license.

The safety of our patients and our community is our top priority. As a Concierge at the clinic, your role will be essential to this mission. On a daily basis, the Concierge will be the first person to interact with patients, visitors, and neighboring businesses. The Concierge position requires a strong skillset including excellent customer service, professionalism, and maintaining a calm but directive presence in dealing with potential crisis situations or when diffusing escalated patients. The Concierge will maintain a visible presence and regularly patrol the exterior of the building and property as well as the patient lobby and interior areas.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee occasionally is required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and clarity of vision at long distance.
Work is performed in a clinic/office environment. Employee may be exposed to unpleasant odors, bodily fluids, and infectious disease and frequent exposure to dust, fumes, airborne particles and/or allergens. Situations occur where PPE (personal protective equipment) is needed. Work may involve working with hostile, violent or offensive individuals. Overnight travel, weekend, and/or evening work is occasionally required. Tight time constraints and multiple demands are common.
