Qualifications

Non-Destructive Evaluation Inspector (RT Level II CGSB)

About Us:Kubota Materials Canada Corporation specializes in manufacturing high-performance alloys and friction materials from raw materials to finished products under one roof. Located in Orillia, Ontario, we lead the industry in quality, advanced technology, and on-time delivery.

Position Overview:In this role, you will perform radiographic inspections in accordance with established Quality Assurance (QA) procedures. You will play a critical role in ensuring our products meet customer and QA requirements while supporting quality control and inspection processes. Following the completion of your training, you will be required to rotate shifts in accordance with our CBA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct radiographic inspections to detect material defects, following QA standards.
  • Complete and maintain accurate QA documentation, including sketches and radiography reports.
  • Provide guidance and training to Trainee radiographers.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Minimum Grade 12 diploma required.
  • CEDO Certification and CGSB Radiography Level II Certification.
  • ISO 9001:2000 training (latest edition preferred).
  • 1–2 years of experience in reading and interpreting radiographic films (preferred).
  • Experience in a manufacturing or foundry environment is an asset.
  • Certified to operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • Standing and walking for prolonged periods.
  • Manual dexterity for handling small parts and tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle heavy equipment.
  • Exposure to high temperatures, molten metal, and noise (PPE provided).
  • High concentration and focus required in both independent and team settings.

Shift Rotation:Following the completion of training, you will be required to rotate shifts every two weeks, moving between the day, afternoon, and overnight shifts in accordance with our collective bargaining agreement (CBA).
