Job summary

Whitehorse Chamber of Commerce is seeking a Delivery Driver to support daily operations in the local area. This role involves delivering a variety of products to multiple addresses, maintaining routes, and ensuring on-time service.

You will load and unload, operate a pallet jack, collect payments, complete logs, and perform pre- and post-shift vehicle checks while adhering to safety standards. Minimum Grade 12 and a valid Class 5 license with clean abstract are required.

Responsibilities

NOC 75201Category-5Job title- Delivery Driverpay rate: $23 per hour40 hours per week

General Duties:

• Working Monday to Friday, you will deliver a wide variety of products to different addresses, via various routes.
• Follow route time and schedule
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicle
• Operate Pallet Jack
• Collect payments
• Fill in logs, reports, customer paperwork
• At beginning of shift, complete a circle check of truck, review safety issues, tires, lights, fuel, check oil and coolant levels, etc.
• At end of shift, fuel truck and complete post shift check of truck
• Follow safety regulations and standards

Work Experience & Education Requirements:

• Minimum grade 12
• Class 5 license with clean abstract
• Able to work both in a team environment and unsupervised
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Good communication skills

Physical Requirements:

• Infrequent lifting of up to 50lbs
• Physically mobile: able to climb in and out of truck
• Will require bending and a full range of motion including repeatedly getting in and out of a sitting position
• Seated in a truck, may need to be outside (exposed to heat/cold, rain) briefly to unlock or lock bins or enclosures.
• Exposed to elements for a few minutes at each delivery site.
