Job summary

GTR Worldwide is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant in Moose Jaw, Canada to support pharmacists by receiving, preparing, labeling and packaging prescriptions, managing inventory, and assisting customers with medication pickup.

You will handle POS transactions, maintain patient records, and assist with billing and insurance documentation while protecting privacy in a safe, organized pharmacy environment.

Qualifications

  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a recognized pharmacy assistant program or equivalent practical experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of basic pharmaceutical terminology and ability to perform pharmaceutical calculations accurately.
  • Experience using pharmacy management software, point-of-sale systems, or willingness to learn these systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with clear verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality, follow safety procedures, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
