Job description

We are seeking Nighttime Line Cook to join our culinary team Here in Nova Scotia. As a key member of our kitchen staff you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes during evening hours ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction.

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to ourstandards and recipes
  • Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Monitor and maintain appropriate food temperatures during storage and service
  • Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
  • Communicate effectively with our customers to ensure smooth service
  • Adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Participate in kitchen cleanup and set upprocedures forthe shift.
  • Bake items for the next day
  • build sandwiches and salads etc for the grab and go fridge
  • help with early morning caterings as required.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum 1years of experience as a line cook
  • Proficiency in various cooking techniques and ability to work multiple stations
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Skill in using kitchen equipment and tools efficiently
  • Excellent multitasking and time management abilities
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work night shifts and weekends as required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Food Handlers Certificate (preferred)
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing menus and seasonal ingredients
