Job summary

Parallel 49 Brewing Company in Vancouver, BC is seeking a Packaging Line Operator 1 to run packaging equipment at our production brewery. The role emphasizes safety, quality checks, and maintaining clean, compliant packaging lines.

Shifts are four 10-hour nights (9:00 PM–7:00 AM), with opportunities to transition from temporary to permanent staff. A team-driven environment focused on craft beer quality and community is emphasized throughout the role.

Qualifications

• Forklift, power truck or narrow aisle lift experience is an asset.
• Experience in a brewery setting including setting up hoses, checking carbonation, CIP systems or packaging is an asset.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in the food and beverage industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and shutdown packaging machines and equipment safely.
• Clean and tidy machines, equipment and surrounding area.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow safety protocols.
• Conduct online quality checks to ensure packaging specs, net weight, seal integrity, labeling and palletizing.
• Report quality issues to Team Lead or Supervisor.
• Adhere to company policies and safety procedures.
• Perform deep cleaning duties as required.
• Other duties as required or assigned.
