Job summary

EHN Canada is seeking dedicated support staff to help operate outpatient and inpatient treatment programs. The role requires night-shift availability and a commitment to patient safety and care, working with clinical teams to maintain structure and therapeutic environments.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, facilitating meetings, monitoring patients, and documenting progress. Applicants with a health care certificate and Grade 12 may have an advantage, and

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write and communicate verbally and in writing.
• Trauma informed training/experience an asset (if available).

Responsibilities

• Life skills teaching opportunities with patients, e.g., making beds and cleaning.
• Facilitate therapeutic and community meetings and address issues or follow up.
• Support patients when they are unable to remain in structure.
• Drive patients as required.
• Support patients when emotionally dysregulated.
• Monitor patient activities and log significant occurrences.
• Sign out patients and record personal effects.
• Keep progress notes up to date and manage logs.
• Administer first aid if trained and waiting for medical staff.
• Perform housekeeping and clerical tasks as listed on duty roster.
• Answer telephone and handle calls as instructed.
• Participate in in-service workshops and related duties.

Education

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent diploma

Certificate from a recognized Health Care Worker educational program
