Job summary

Giveandgo is seeking a Machine Operator to operate and monitor automated packaging lines on a night shift. You will ensure safety procedures, quality checks, and proper material handling while maintaining line efficiency.

The role requires at least 1 year of machine operator experience in manufacturing, strong problem solving, and the ability to work well both independently and in a team. English literacy is essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year Machine Operator experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to read and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health & Safety, Safe Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices are followed.
• Ensure safety guards are in place and keep all guards in place on machines while in operation.
• Follow all safety guidelines required by the machine's manufacturer.
• Perform maintenance checks as required to keep the machine in good working order.
• Respond to any defects or issues with the machine and notify supervisor and maintenance of repairs.
• Remove scrap and maintain housekeeping in and around the area.
• Make machine adjustments during production as needed.
• Communicate with area/line leader about machine operation.
• Perform first case checks at start of each product run.
• Perform process checks to ensure quality and safety as per QA SOP/WI.
• Resolve line issues to maintain efficiency.
• Follow recipes and product standards.
• Load film or packaging materials and ensure match.
• Perform changeovers for different packaging sizes or products.
• Change totes and bins as necessary.
• Monitor product conformity to quality specs.
• Use SPC weight control system to verify deposits.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and timely.
• Set up and prepare equipment and shut down after production.
