Job summary

McKesson Canada is seeking a licensed Journeyman Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems across our facilities. In this hands-on role, you will ensure safe, reliable operations by maintaining equipment and responding to issues in a collaborative health‑care environment.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and provincial safety requirements.
• 4+ years of relevant industrial, commercial, manufacturing, or distribution facility experience.
• Valid Journeyperson Electrician certification or Red Seal endorsement.
• Experience with PLCs, motor controls, VFDs, and industrial control panels.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical systems, components, and equipment using blueprints, schematics, manuals, and diagnostic tools.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on motors, motor controls, electrical panels, lighting, circuits, and power distribution systems.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues, including power interruptions, short circuits, wiring faults, and equipment malfunctions.
• Complete electrical installations and modifications supporting new equipment, machinery, facility upgrades, and expansions.
• Test electrical systems and components using appropriate testing equipment to identify faults and ensure safe operation.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, repairs, electrical parts, and completed work.
• Coordinate electrical work with facilities, contractors, and other trades, providing guidance to apprentices when required.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency electrical repairs where applicable.
• Perform other duties to support company and facility goals.
