Qualifications

  • Job requires physical presence at the designated location.
  • Must submit a valid driver’s license for driver's abstract.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the security of SPRLLP buildings and equipment.
  • Complete rounds as directed by Facilities Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with SPRLLP policies.
  • Complete accurate Daily Logs and Incident Reports.
  • Maintain all safety standards and procedures.

Job description

We seek a reliable and dedicated Night Security Guard to join our Facilities team in a permanent role at Sun Peaks, a renowned resort destination. As a Security Guard, you will execute Security practices, such as security rounds, reporting, and ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for guests and staff. Your attention to detail, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a team or independently will contribute to the overall success of our operations. Compensation Information: $22.29 per hour

Physical Requirement: Medium; work involves handling loads between 10kg and 20kg; both indoor and outdoor setting.

This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

Skills You Bring With You

  • Physically fit, as job may involve physical labour.
  • Ability to work well with the public and promote Sun Peaks image.
  • Dependable, reliable and punctual.
  • Familiar with current Security practices.
  • Bondable; willing to obtain Criminal Record Check.
  • Oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must submit valid driver’s license in order to obtain drivers abstract.
  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Security of SPRLLP buildings and equipment.
  • Complete rounds as directed by Facilities Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with SPRLLP policies within the Staff Housing complex.
  • Issue Fines and Warnings to Staff Housing Residents, as necessary.
  • Complete accurate Daily Logs and Incident Reports.
  • Maintain and ensure all safety standards and procedures in the workplace.
  • Reporting major safety and/or major repairs which are observed during rounds to the Facilities Manager.
  • Complete work activities as delegated by the Facilities Manager.

Training Required

  • Basic Security (Level 1) - Required
  • Standard First Aid (Level 1) – Preferred
