Playground Poker is a premier gaming destination near Montreal seeking a Line Cook to prepare and present high-quality dishes with consistent taste and presentation. You will set up stations, handle ingredients, and ensure top standards in a fast-paced kitchen.

The role requires 2+ years of cooking experience, ability to work under pressure, and flexibility for weekends and holidays. Fluency in English or French and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a similar position.
• Ability to take direction and work calmly and effectively under pressure.
• Able to spend 100% of the time standing.
• Must be fluent in English or French and 18 years or older.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Positive and collaborative team player attitude
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings, overnight hours and holidays.
• Must have a valid Canadian working visa.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes according to the recipe book and pictures.
• Set up workstations with all the needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
• Prepare ingredients for cooking, such as chopping and peeling vegetables and cutting meat.
• Ensure a great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served.
• Keep the kitchen clean and organized, following sanitation, food safety, hygiene, and other health and safety guidelines.
• Check the quality of ingredients.
• Train any second cook within the section.
• Other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required.

Responsabilités:

• Préparer, cuisiner et présenter des plats de haute qualité selon le livre de recettes et les photos.
• Préparer les postes de travail avec tous les ingrédients et le matériel de cuisine nécessaires.
• Préparer les ingrédients pour la cuisson, comme hacher et éplucher les légumes et couper la viande.
• Assurer une bonne présentation en dressant les plats avant qu'ils ne soient servis.
• Maintenir la cuisine propre et organisée, en respectant les règles d'hygiène, de sécurité alimentaire, de santé et de sécurité.

Exigences:

• 2 ans d'expérience ou plus dans un poste similaire

• Capable de passer 100 % du temps debout
• Parler couramment l'anglais ou le français et être âgé de 18 ans ou plus.
• Excellentes aptitudes à la communication, aux relations interpersonnelles et à l'organisation.

• Flexibilité pour travailler sur différents quarts de travail, y compris les week-ends, les soirées, les heures de nuit et les jours fériés.
