Job summary

The Derrick Golf and Winter Club is seeking an attentive Night Janitor to manage evening housekeeping, reporting to Facilities Manager and Night Janitorial Supervisor. You will dust, mop, vacuum, and maintain cleanliness across the club, kitchens, bathrooms, and public areas.

This full-time on-site role offers competitive wages, health and dental benefits, training and development, plus a diverse and welcoming workplace culture. The night shift runs 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM in Edmonton.

Qualifications

• Previous custodial experience is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Dust, mop, vacuum and clean using various tools and chemicals.
• Safe handling of cleaning chemicals per safety procedures.
• Maintain custodial rooms and inventory.
• Maintain cleaning logs.
• Clean and disinfect kitchens, bathrooms, and public areas.
• Empty trash and remove debris.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Facilities Manager and Night Janitorial Supervisor, the Night Janitor is responsible for the evening housekeeping activities of the Club and includes but is not limited to the following:

Duties and Responsibilities

• Dust, mop, vacuum and clean using a variety of tools, equipment, and chemicals.
• Safe handling of cleaning chemicals and ensure proper usage according to the Club's safety procedures.
• Organize maintenance and custodial rooms to ensure safety and to maintain product inventory.
• Maintain and organize cleaning logs.
• Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
• Clean and disinfect public areas such as changing rooms, showers, and elevators.
• Pick up debris and empty trash containers.

Working Conditions

• The evening shift is from 9:00PM - 5:30AM

Skills and Experience

• Previous custodial experience is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal skills, adaptability skills, & problem-solving abilities
• Ability to stay focused on task while balancing multiple priorities at the same time.
