Job summary

GOEX is seeking a Machine Operator – Packer to support extrusion lines by packaging products, ensuring quality and reducing waste. You will assist technicians with machine operations, maintain records and help keep production running smoothly.

We offer a 2-on/2-off/3-on rotating schedule (12-hour shifts), 80 hours of vacation after 60 days, and a comprehensive benefits package as part of a long‑standing, sustainability‑driven manufacturer in British Columbia.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of manufacturing/MACHINE OPERATION experience, with packaging preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
• Forklift experience preferred but not required (training available).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic math and measurement skills (e.g., reading a tape measure).
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly (up to 100 lbs with assistance).

Responsibilities

• Maintain precise records for traceability and shift reports.
• Assist with machine startups, roll changes, cleanouts and shutdowns.
• Pack, stack and prepare products for shipping or processing.
• Follow quality standards and report non-conformances.
• Support upcoming production runs and assist in material handling.
• Cross-train in quality assurance and other production areas.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and follow safety protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring:

• Manufacturing Experience: 1-2 years (packaging experience preferred).
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to troubleshoot and assist with equipment.

• Night Shift - 5:50pm - 6:00am

Starting Wage:

• $22.89/hour based on experience
• +$3/hour Night Shift Premium
