Position: Night Crew Chief/Manager (Full-Time)

Store: Daniel’s nofrills

Location: 1250 South Service Rd, Mississauga

Posting Closes: March 31, 2025

Our stores function 24 hours a day - even when there are no customers in our aisles. A very special group of people - our night crew - work overnight to ensure that our stores are ready for customers by the time we open in the morning. Each night, our night crew staff receives product deliveries from our distribution centres. These deliveries are sorted and filled to our shelves and displays. If you're a night owl who works quickly and independently, you should consider applying for a position as a full-time Night Crew Chief.

Responsibilities:

  • Report and take direction on nightly specifics from Store Associate Manager
  • Manage Night Crew & Inbound Product
  • Train and motivate staff
  • Delegate and prioritize workload for staff
  • Effectively merchandise advertising and promotional programs
  • Maintain up to date information about market trends and competitor activities
  • Receiving, handling and storing of product to achieve optimal results
  • Ensure proper product rotation as required
  • Ensure pricing integrity
  • Any other duties that may be required to ensure courteous friendly service, competitively priced products, and a store that meets and maintains the hygiene and safety standards specified.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of management experience within the field.
  • Demonstrated understanding of critical success factors for the no frills concept as a discount food store focusing on a value driven image.
  • Demonstrated understanding of a full time clerks’ impact on store performance as follows:
    • merchandising to appropriate No Frills standards
    • checking invoices for proper product / pricing / quantities
    • maintaining cleanliness to appropriate standards
    • Able to learn to write store orders
  • Mandatory weekends
  • Leadership skills a must
  • Able to work long hours/Must be flexible and willing to work holidays if needed
  • Must be willing to work Night-Crew/Day-Crew
  • Able to meet deadlines/ Accuracy and speed a must
  • Excellent communication skills/ Good understanding of the English language (Reading & Writing)
  • Demonstrated Customer focus
  • Ability to manage crew of 20 employees
  • Ability to work with minimal functional direction/ able to work under pressure
  • Demonstrated accountability for entire store:
    • key carrying / alarm responsibilities
    • loss prevention
    • health and safety
