Job description

Are you looking for an enhancement in your security career? Securiguard Services is looking for a security guard for our communication center in Alliston. The Communication Center monitors a variety of systems, which are particular to the site. The candidate must be available for nights (2000-0800), as this is a rotational shift.

The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:

• Valid Security Guard License
• Valid First Aid / CPR certificate
• Must be able to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time
• Strong and clear communication skills, both verbal and written
• Basic computer skills
• Their own transportation to the site

Duties and Responsibilities are listed, but not limited to the following:

• Monitor security access system, fire system, and environmental system at the Communication Center and respond to priority alarms and alert Facilities staff via radio
• Coordination of emergency response, monitor response where possible via radio, CCTV or other means and other supplemental responders as directed or perceived to be necessary
• Document all emergency response activities via Emergency Check sheets and incident report
• Assist in the maintenance of all site emergency and non-emergency phone numbers, emergency contact lists and emergency access lists.
• Carry out various administrative duties to ensure efficiency and effectiveness throughout the department for auditing purposes.
• Using site security systems, Lenel and Avigilon conduct investigations to identify persons who have committed a breach of site rules or policies
• Conduct all duties as listed for Security Guard
