Job summary

Silver Hotel Group is seeking a Night Auditor for the Aloft Montreal Airport, located near the Montreal International Airport. The role requires front office experience and offers nights with weekend coverage.

You will handle check-ins/outs, guest inquiries, reservations, and nightly audit duties while maintaining security and accuracy in financial transactions. The ideal candidate brings hotel front office experience, strong customer service, and proficiency with Excel and LightSpeed PMS.

Qualifications

• Prior hotel experience in Front Office operations is required.
• French language proficiency is an asset.
• Strong customer service orientation with attention to detail.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
• Comfort with computer use and basic accounting concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work evenings and overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Able to stand for an 8-hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to all guests.
• Welcome and greet guests, and handle check-in and check-out procedures.
• Answer guest inquiries and assist in a professional manner.
• Answer phone calls and process new reservations.
• Follow cash handling procedures and department policies.
• Ensure guest security and protect personal information.
• Perform night audit functions and balance revenue and settlements.
• Reconcile daily transactions and maintain audit files.
• Prepare system resets for the next day’s operations.

Your Role

Reporting to the Front Office Manager or designate, you will:

• Provide excellent customer service to all guests;
• Welcome and greet all guests, and execute check in and check out procedures;
• Answer guest inquiries and provide assistance in a professional manner;
• Answer all incoming phone calls and process new reservations;
• Accurately follow all cash handling procedures;
• Adhere to all department and Company policies and procedures;
• Ensure guest security by proper handling of guest room keys and personal information;
• Perform any other job related duties as assigned;
• Administer all night audit functions;
• Balance all revenue and settlement accounts nightly;
• Ensure that all daily transactions are reconciled and accounted for in accordance with set policies and procedures;
• Maintain files and reset the system for the next day of operations;
• Follow up on guest requests and resolve problems promptly.

• Prior hotel experience in Front Office operations is a must;
• French language proficiency an asset;
• Passion for customer service, enthusiastic, detail oriented, computer literate, fast learner;
• Organized and able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment;
• Proficient using a computer, good knowledge of excel and basic accounting principles;
• Excellent communications skills, written and oral;
• Works well under pressure in a changing environment;
• Ability to work with minimal supervision;
• LightSpeed PMS knowledge preferred;
• Able to stand for an 8-hour shift;
• Must be able to work evenings and overnights including weekends and holidays;
• Shift will be 11:00pm to 7:00 am, must be flexible from 9:00pm to 9:00am.
