The Night Auditor-Front Desk Agent Part Time will contribute to the overall success of the hotel by anticipating guest needs and providing friendly, efficient, and superior customer service during all guest interactions. The position is responsible for maintaining a positive work environment at the Front Desk while maintaining high internal & external guest service standards as well as the completion of the Night Audit.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintains an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments
2. Registers arriving guests and assigns rooms
3. Presents statements of charges to departing guests and receive payment
4. Compiles and checks daily record sheets, guest accounts, receipts and vouchers using computerized systems
5. Daily accounting data entry and reconcile
6. Runs all Night Audit reports and reports to Front Office Manager, General Manager and Accounting office when discrepancies are found
7. Posts any late charges not posted on previous shift
8. Completes Food & Beverage Audit, keys in journal entries
9. Completes credit card and city ledger sequence
10. Coordinates and completes back-up
11. Runs night audit sequence
12. Delivers audit materials to Accounting Office
13. Completes daily sales & labour report
14. Completes gratuities porterage distribution report on a daily basis
15. Completes daily room pick up & forecast reports
16. Other duties as required

Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

1. Completion of Secondary School
2. Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent combination of education and experience
3. Minimum 3 years Front Desk experience
4. Rooms Forecasting and/or Budgeting an asset
5. Understanding of Yield and Revenue Management an asset
6. Proficiency in excel worksheet application
7. Demonstrates superior customer service skills
8. Exemplifies Coast’s core values and enjoys working in a culture of accountability
9. Able to work overnight shifts including those on weekends and holidays
