Job summary

The Wickaninnish Inn is seeking a Night Auditor to join our Front Office team in Tofino, BC. You will be the sole overnight staffer, ensuring exceptional guest service while maintaining financial controls and nightly closings.

Hours are 11:15pm to 7:15am with a focus on accuracy, discretion, and adherence to Relais & Châteaux, AAA 4 & 5 Diamond, and Forbes standards. The role requires strong math and communication skills and a commitment to our hospitality legacy.

Qualifications

• Exemplary telephone and math skills for nightly balancing and guest service.
• Strong communication and guest service excellence throughout overnight shift.
• Attention to detail and problem solving under Relais & Châteaux standards.
• Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License with 2+ years driving experience.
• Commitment to the position for an agreed duration and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, personalized guest service during night shift.
• Balance daily postings and perform nightly financial controls.
• Balance POS transactions and finalize department totals.
• Manage room and restaurant reservations overnight.
• Attend to guest needs and provide proactive service.
• Carry out all other Guest Services duties as required.
• Handle cash preparations for inn staff.
• Implement and follow emergency procedures.

The Night Auditor is the sole worker during the evening hours and is expected to maintain the standards of the Wickaninnish Inn and therefore must possess exemplary telephone skills, math skills and must thrive on providing guest service excellence.

Hours of work will be between 11:15pm and 7:15am.

As a Night Auditor, you will:
Ensure efficient and personalized guest service meeting and exceeding Relais & Chateaux, AAA 4 & 5 Diamond and Forbes Standards.
Be responsible for all daily balancing, postings, and nightly controls pertaining to the operations of the departments at the Wickaninnish Inn.
Perform POS (Point of Sale) balancing and final balancing of departments.
Manage room and restaurant reservations during night hours.
Provide guest services and attend to guest needs as required.
Carry out all other duties of a Guest Services Representative during the night shift.
Handle cash preparations for the employees of the Inn.
Enact and carry out emergency procedures.
