Status: Part-time

Salary: $19.96 per hour

Located very close to downtown Kingston, the Strata Hotel offers ideal accommodations for both business and leisure stays. The hotel is just minutes from top restaurants, trendy shops, and entertainment venues for the whole family. The 77-room hotel also has commercial units available for rent.

Under the authority of the Front Office Manager, a night auditor verifies the day's transactions to balance accounts, deposits, and close tills, while also providing reception services at night. They welcome guests to ensure a positive hotel experience.

Job description:
  • Follow all room reservation protocols, including bookings, confirmations, and cancellations
  • Answer phones promptly with good etiquette
  • Respond to guest requests timely and follow-up for 100% satisfaction
  • Assist guests with information such as hotel policies, directions, and dining options
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping to facilitate room turnover
  • Monitor lobby cleanliness and maintain high standards
  • Count tills, follow checklists, and complete End of Shift Reports
  • Classify daily transactions and produce income reports
  • Verify and correct transaction records and update guest notes
  • Balance accounts and close cash registers
  • Handle guest departures and arrivals
  • Manage customer complaints
  • Perform administrative and accounting tasks as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience as a Front Desk Agent or similar role in hospitality
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Hotello preferred
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Excellent English communication skills; bilingualism is an asset
  • Availability to work 11pm-7am
