Job summary

Pulse Healthcare is seeking an experienced NHS Band 7 Sonographer in Peterborough to join a forward-thinking Imaging Department. You will work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality ultrasound services.

The role involves Obstetrics, Gynaecology, and General abdominal scans, with optional MSK work to meet service demand. You will provide accurate reports, uphold clinical standards, and support colleagues in a busy hospital setting.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Band 7 Sonographer to join a forward-thinking NHS Imaging Department in Peterborough. The successful candidate will provide a high-quality ultrasound service, working independently and as part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

Perform a wide range of ultrasound scans including Obstetrics, Gynaecology, and General abdominal work

Provide accurate diagnostic reports to support patient care and treatment pathways

Contribute to maintaining high clinical standards and patient safety

Liaise effectively with consultants, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals

Support and guide junior staff and students when required

(Desirable) Undertake MSK scans to support service demand

Requirements

HCPC registration (or equivalent professional body registration)

CASE-accredited Postgraduate Diploma or MSc in Medical Ultrasound (or equivalent)

Proven NHS experience in Obs, Gynae, and General ultrasound

Excellent communication and patient care skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
