Position Info:

· Position: Early Childhood Educator

· Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

· Wage: $21.00~$24.00/hour (depending on experience)

· Number of Positions: 6

· Extended Health Benefit after 90 days of employment

Job Duties:

  1. Establish and implement child-care programs which support and promote children’s cognitive, physical, emotional, and social development
  2. Assess the abilities, interest, and needs of children
  3. Discuss the progress or problems with parents and other staff
  4. Plan and lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, or taking children to local points of interest
  5. Establish and keep the environment protecting children’s health, security, and well-being
  6. Detect any signs of potential learning or behaviour problems of children, and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisor
  7. Guide and assist children developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  8. Build collaborative relationship with co-workers and community service providers working with children

Job requirements:

  1. Education: College Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education is required
  2. Experience: Experience is an asset
  3. Certificate: First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate, and E.C.E. Certificate
