Elder Help Peel is a Canadian nonprofit organization founded in 1998. For over 25 years, with its enthusiastic and community-based volunteers, Elder Help Peel (EHP) has provided older adults and seniors age 55+ residing in Peel Region, with caring and compassionate social programs, services, and events. EHP is committed to diversity and inclusion with its focus on interactive social programs and healthcare services which enable seniors to stay socially connected, active, healthy, and engaged in the community.
Volunteer Summary
As a volunteer Content Writer, you will be responsible for creating compelling and informative content that promotes the organization's mission and activities. The volunteer Content Writers will be responsible for producing written content for a variety of platforms, including the organization's monthly newsletter, website, social media channels, campaigns, blog posts and email blasts which will contain significant accomplishments and news within the organization. The ideal candidates will have excellent English verbal and writing skills and computer skills.

This is a Long Term (More than 6 months) commitment.
Shifts are available Anytime.
Orientation: provided upon commencement date of the placement and includes orientation to Elder Help Peel programs, policies, and procedures, meet and greet with staff and organization members.
Training: provided upon commencement, as well as a walkthrough of the duties, with hands-on training and coaching.
Monitoring of volunteers activities and ongoing support daily by supervisor.
Volunteers participate in weekly meetings, additional training and meeting as required.
