Our Ideal Candidate

We are currently seeking an experienced Professional Land Surveyor to support our operations throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for providing land surveying and other surveying services to internal and external clients, be involved in survey projects from proposal through to final deliverables and manage technical survey personnel in both the office and field.

The successful candidate will be integral to our quality assurance, supporting the development of internal processes and tools for continuous improvement, identify business opportunities and help grow Geomatics at Allnorth.

A Day in the Life

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for the following :

  • Managing various survey project types including legal, infrastructure, land development,
  • Topographic, engineering, construction, and reality capture. This includes managing project deliverables and all team members working on projects
  • Leading survey crews and office staff on projects; communicating scope and scheduling information to team members and stakeholders
  • Mentoring and coaching field crews, drafters, plan checkers and other team members
  • Working collaboratively within our larger Geomatics team
  • Working with clients to understand project scope
  • Promoting a culture of Safety in Everything We Do and adherence to the Allnorth HSE policies and Safe Work Methods
  • Building and maintaining client relationships.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

  • Registration as a Newfoundland Land Surveyor (NLS) Or Professional Land Surveyor from another province eligible to write a jurisdictional examination
  • 5+ years of land surveying experience
  • Experience with Trimble Business Center and Civil 3D is an asset
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills with a high level of dependability
  • Willingness to learn and contribute in a dynamic team environment is essential
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
