Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking an NPI Controls Lead to head all controls, automation, electrical integration, and commissioning for New Product Introduction projects. You will guide transitions from concept through manufacturing, testing, commissioning, and customer acceptance.

The role requires leading cross-functional efforts, validating control systems, and coordinating with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, Quality, and Accounts teams across Canada and international sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma, Technical Certificate, or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Instrumentation, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field preferred.

NPI Controls Lead

Position Summary

The NPI Controls Lead is responsible for leading all controls, automation, electrical integration, and commissioning activities associated with New Product Introduction (NPI) projects. Qualifications

Diploma, Technical Certificate, or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Instrumentation, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial controls, automation, electrical systems, or related manufacturing environments.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, industrial communication networks, instrumentation, or control systems is preferred.
• Experience in NPI, product launches, or manufacturing process implementation is an asset, but not required.
• Experience supporting testing, commissioning, or startup activities is an asset.

Travel Requirements

• Occasional travel may be required.
• A valid passport is required and must be maintained throughout employment.
• Ability to travel within Canada and internationally as business needs dictate.
