This position supports operational excellence and safety while contributing to continuous improvement efforts. The successful candidate will receive mentorship toward obtaining professional engineering licensure. Accommodation and meals are provided on site.

Reporting to the Planning & Reliability Supervisor, you will be part of the Mobile Maintenance Department. This role is specifically designed to develop the successful candidate into a licensed Professional Engineer, supporting a long-term career at Agnico Eagle.You will support operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement while learning and growing in a dynamic mining environment.

  • Assist with daily mechanical engineering tasks related to mobile equipment maintenance, including data collection, analysis, and reporting

  • Support the planning, design, and scheduling of maintenance activities for mobile mining equipment.

  • Collaborate with operations, engineering and other related disciplines to optimize maintenance performance.

  • Participate in safety initiatives and promote a culture of safety and responsibility.

  • Contribute to environmental stewardship and compliance efforts.

  • Engage in continuous improvement projects and support technology adoption.

  • Learn to use mechanical engineering and maintenance management software and tools.

  • Take part in training and development opportunities to build your technical and leadership skills.

  • Benefit from mentorship and guidance to progress towards professional engineering licensure.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (graduated within the last 2 years or soon to graduate).

Your Work Schedule:
  • Schedule:7/7 or 14/14 schedule at our Detour Lake Mine;

  • Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
