Job summary

Qualifications

  • Graduating with a Bachelor's in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering in 2027.
  • Strong interest in learning and exploring new challenges, particularly in rail infrastructure, rail systems, track design, construction, and operations.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with industry-standard software and tools.
  • Currently holds a valid Canadian driver's license (if applicable).

Responsibilities

  • Rail Infrastructure: Design and support railway track and infrastructure projects, including track layouts, engineering drawings, cost estimates, and construction support.
  • Safety and systems assurance: Support safety analyses, compliance activities, and risk assessments to ensure rail systems operate safely and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Transit Power Distribution: Assist in the design of electrical power systems that supply trains, stations, and transit facilities, including technical calculations and equipment selection.
  • Systems Engineering & Integration: Coordinate and integrate multiple rail systems, support requirements management, interface coordination, and system testing activities.
  • Rail Control Systems: Support the design and implementation of signalling, train control, and communications systems.
  • Rolling Stock: Support the design, testing, and commissioning of trains and transit systems while helping ensure they meet safety, performance, and regulatory requirements.

Your role:
