Job description

This posting is for Teacher Candidates currently enrolled in or recently graduated from the Faculty of Education program with a Transitional Certificate or Ontario teaching certification who are interested in supply teaching with the DDSB.

As an Occasional Teacher (Supply) for DDSB, you will create a vibrant and supportive learning environment where students thrive. You will bring your passion for teaching to the classroom, guiding students through their educational journey and fostering a love for learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver engaging lessons that align with the curriculum and support student learning.
  2. Create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment where every student feels valued.
  3. Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students.

  • Ontario teaching certification or Transitional Certificate (enter your OCT number in your profile, if you have one)
  • Resume and cover letter
  • Practice Teaching Reports or recent appraisal (most recent ones required)

Upon hire:

You must provide the People and Culture department with a current Vulnerable Sector Screening, obtained or applied for within six months of your start date.
