Overview

Teacher Candidates currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Faculty of Education program with Transitional Certificate or Ontario teaching certification who are interested in supply teaching with the DDSB.

As an Occasional Teacher (Supply) for DDSB, you’ll create a vibrant and supportive learning environment where students thrive. You’ll bring your passion for teaching to the classroom, guiding students through their educational journey and fostering a love for learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lessons that align with the curriculum and support student learning.
  • Create a positive, inclusive and safe classroom environment where every student feels valued.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
Application Instructions
  • Ontario teaching certification or Transitional Certificate (enter your OCT number in your profile if you have one).
  • Resume and cover letter
  • Practice Teaching Reports or recent appraisal (most recent ones required).
Upon Hire

You must provide the People and Culture department with a current obtained or applied for (within six months of your start date) vulnerable sector screening.
