The successful individual will have a background in audit and accounting within public practice, with experience managing junior staff and be comfortable dealing with clients, being a highly social and outgoing individual. Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP,and public company standards
Manage quarterly and annual reporting cycles(SEDAR+, EDGAR, XBRL, SEDI)
Manage budgeting, internal controls (SOX-style), and audits
Collaborate with CFOs and executives on forecasting, strategy, and board materials
Liaise with auditors, legal counsel, and regulatory bodies
Mentor junior staff and uphold quality standards across deliverables

Qualified CPA with a minimum 4 -6 years of recent public practice experience within audit
Experience working with GAAP, IFRS, CSA and/or SEC rules and regulations.
Experience with public company reporting standards and systems (e.g. SEDAR+, EDGAR)
Technologically savvy with a wide range of financial systems proficiency
Strong leadership, analytical, project management and communication skills
Work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
